I enjoy working at the gallery because I can have some relaxing time to myself. It's quiet and very colorful and helps me relieve stress. I enjoy working in the library. It helps me have some alone time. I like this exhibition that we have in the gallery right now. My favorite piece is the big piece in the back that has red lines. My favorite color is red so this specific painting grabs all my attention while I'm at work. It patterns and the way it was done is very impressive.

If you had told me four years ago that I would spend a regular basis of time in an Art Gallery I would not have believed. I look around sitting at the desk looking at the different landscapes of Lou Hicks that there is so much depth and patience is put into every inch of her paintings.

This semester started off with pieces done by a talented woman. They seem to be images through a window of trees in a wood. These trees are made up of different earthy colors that have thin limbs. The artist always uses the same angle and adds dimesion to her work using oil paint. There is an assortment of good pieces. I am more attracted to the colors used than the actual shapes on the canvas. They are vibrant and alive. They jump off the wall and hold your attention with their vivacity and opacity.
